While there is some talk of “maximizing human well-being,” I do wonder if organizations like the World Economic Forum place too much emphasis on career and job skills at the expense of overall well-being.

Have we narrowly defined well-being to mean career success? If so, and in our pursuit of human-centered schooling….with an outcome of well-being and flourishing…how do we ensure the old school-centered, job skills-focused paradigm doesn’t draw us back into over-emphasizing the job-skills narrative over well-being? (Think Seligman’s PERMA framework.)
